December 20, 2003

Welcome to our wedding day! Thank you for joining me on this trip down memory lane. It's been a lot of fun reliving the memories from when I married Lawrence.
My friend, Kara Noel, is having a "Remember When...You Got Married" linky (click on linky to see other peoples wedding pictures and/or participate) on her blog, so I got out all my picture CD's and picked some of the best from our wedding.

(PS - I am so sorry about the layout of this post. I don't know what happened, but I think you get the idea!)

Lawrence and I were married December 20, 2003 at Lake Hills Community Church in Laguna Hills, CA.

(when we booked the
chapel at lake hills, i had
no idea that the rose
bushes were yellow.
it was perfect because
our wedding colors were
blue and yellow!)

lawrence with our ring bearers

I was definitely caught up in the moment and the somberness of what was about to take place; I was about to take a vow before God to be lawrence's wife. I hadn't been outwardly emotional the entire morning until the doors opened and the music started playing. I walked down the aisle to "Con te Partiro."

i love the perspective of this picture

i was filled with joy to be marrying lawrence, however in this picture i'm smiling and everyone is laughing because the string quartet kept playing even though we had been at the end of the aisle for a while already!

i love this picture of my dad and lawrence hugging.

lawrence surprised me by singing "a nightingale sang at barkley square."
he sang it to me on one our first dates at disneyland which is also where he proposed.

the wedding party!

our good friend and pastor
jeff ludington married us. his
wife, lisa, was one of my bridesmaids.

Our wedding reception was at the Westin South Coast Plaza in costa mesa. We had a live jazz band which was a lot of fun. Our "entrance" song was "Orange Colored Sky" by Nat King Cole (which ended up being our un-official first dace). Our official first dance was to "The Nearness of You."

the cake

lawrence did not keep
it a secret that he was
going to get cake on
my face so i had to get
him too.

our decorated getaway
car:  a Thunderbird!

after the recepetion,
we walked around the
hotel with our photographer
for more pictures. this
is one of my favorites.

our wedding favors were
musical christmas ornaments.
i think the best wedding
favor idea by far!

These pictures are awesome. I love the one with you and your dad looking back and of you and Lawrance standing at the altar and the cake one is super cute and the one with the christmas tree in the background at south coast.
I think I may have been skinny dipping that night with my ex boyfriend at that hotel... I know it was around christmas...

So fun to see pics from your wedding! I was hoping you'd do a wedding post. A good friend of mine got married at Lake Hills chapel on April 12, 2003. It was so beautiful inside! You and Lawrence look so happy and you look beautiful. What time was your wedding? It seems like it was a long day!

What a beautiful wedding. I love the bridesmaid dresses. I also think it was so sweet how your groom is cupping your face for the kiss. Too cute!

Beautiful wedding, thanks for sharing.

I love your bridal favours - definitely the best!

We don't do the "cake on the face" thing here in N Ireland - do you know the history of that tradition?
