Every August, The Getty Center hosts "Garden Concerts for Kids" on Saturday and Sunday. If you've never been to the Getty, they have a big grassy hill where you can sit and joy the weather, view, music, etc. It's quite nice! Trout Fishing in America was playing last weekend so we packed some dinner and snacks and were off to enjoy some silly folk music!
Lawrence made a pear and gargonzola salad
and Jacob couldn't get enough pears!
Trout Fishing in America consists of a bass and electrical guitars.
The guy on the right even played the electric banjo for a couple songs.
up front for some dancing!
somehow Joshua got caught up in a conga line.
he didn't know what to do and kept trying to get away
from the girl behind him who kept trying to hold on to
his waist. I guess that's next on the lesson plan of
parenthood: the conga line!
Jacob was mesmerized by the music and being so close to the action.
I wish we'd been able to get a picture of it!
Here's Joshua though...
After the concert we walked around some of the fountains which the kids loved! Then we attempted to look at the art. The lesson we learned here is that the kids aren't ready for a museum!
All in all, we had a fun time!!

How fun! Are these still going on?
No, it was just for 3 weeks in August.
