Oak Glen!

Our tradition of going to Oak Glen began in 2005. Lawrence was telling a co-worker how much I love Pink Lady apples. His co-worker told him we needed to go to Oak Glen. He said "never heard of it, but okay!" and we made the hour drive while I was 36 weeks pregnant with Joshua. We've been going back ever since.

Before our first trip, being the good researcher my husband is, we looked at the different farms in the area that sold my favorite. We weren't that impressed with the quality of the first place we stopped so we kept driving until we found a happenin' place with lots of cars in the parking lot:Riley's at Los Rios Rancho. It's our favorite and we've been back ever since.

What I love about Oak Glen is that you don't feel like you're in Southern California. The air is crisp and the trees leaves are changing colors. It's beautiful.

This year, my parents came with us and got to experience the beauty of Oak Glen. I hope they come back next year!

"Mommy, it looks like an umbrella!"

We took a horse drawn wagon ride.
Boy was it dusty!

Lawrences favorite apples: Arkansas Black

Apples, apples, apples!
So many to taste!
Time for a hike

Jacob's favorite thing to do: throw rocks, dirt, bark, etc

this is Joshua's new smile
Lovely

another family shot
Jacob was freaking out about something so Lawrence turned him upside down.
Surprisingly, that shut him up!

After we bought our apples, cider and pie
we went to the grassy area to play a little Frisbee.

The End!
