Joshua's night cap

I had quite a collection of Berenstain Bear books while growing up. When I had Joshua, my Mom was more than happy to  give me my books so I could read them to my children.

Joshua loves reading my old books and is obsessed with one Berenstain Bear book at a time. For a long time it was "Tell the Truth." Then "No Girls Allowed." Right now he's obsesed with "In the Dark," the story where Brother Bear reads a mystery to Sister Bear. At night when the cubs are in bed, Brother makes a loud wailing noise that imitates a noise he had to read in the book. It scares Sister and she yells out for Mama and Papa Bear who come rushing in to help her. Papa Bear rushes in and trips over a clothes tree that he made. Then Mama Bear rushes in and trips over Papa. In the commotion of it all, Sister Bear falls out of bed and lands on her parents. Brother Bear then turns on the light to help the others sort through the chaos. Papa is looking at his stubbed toe and Mama is looking for her night cap that fell off her head when she ran into Papa.

Lawrence was reading this book to Joshua last night and found a blue shirt of mine on the floor. He asked Joshua if he wanted to wear a night cap just like Mama Bear. He slept with it on his head all night and wore it during breakfast this morning!
